Smile Makeovers

Smile makeovers in Charlotte — planned in pixels first, finished in porcelain.

When color, alignment, gum line, and proportion all need attention, a coordinated plan brings everything into harmony — designed digitally, previewed before treatment, and refined over weeks not minutes.

What it is

What a smile makeover really involves.

A smile makeover isn't a procedure — it's a coordinated plan that brings together several procedures to address everything that bothers you at once. Some patients arrive having lived with the same concerns for ten or twenty years: a chipped front tooth, uneven gum line, yellow color that won't whiten, a tooth that drifted forward, an old crown that never quite matched. Individually, those things feel small. Together, they explain why you don't smile in photos.

A makeover plan looks at your face, your bite, your existing teeth, and your goals as a single system. Then we layer the right treatments in the right order: alignment first if needed, then any restoration or implant work, then color and contouring last. Because the order is right, the final result feels coherent — not patched.

We've planned makeovers for Charlotte patients preparing for weddings, milestone birthdays, big career moments, and (most often) just because they've finally decided this is the year. The plan and the price are always written down before the first appointment, and the pace is yours to choose.

A smile makeover starts with planning — not drilling. The whole story lives in the design phase.
Our process

Designed in pixels, refined in person, finished to last

A full smile makeover typically spans 6–12 weeks, depending on whether alignment or implant work is involved. Most of that is healing, lab fabrication, and trial-smile time — not chair time.

Step 01

Discovery consultation

We talk about what bothers you, what you want, and what you don't want. We take photos and scans and review your medical history. Nothing else happens at this visit — we listen first.

Step 02

Digital smile design

Using your scans and a reference of your face, we design the proposed result digitally and present it to you. You see shape, proportion, length, and shade choices before anything else.

Step 03

Trial smile

We make a wearable preview of the proposed smile. You take it home and live in it — eating, talking, smiling in your own light. Come back and tell us what to adjust.

Step 04

Phased treatment

We sequence treatment in the correct medical and aesthetic order — alignment if needed, then restorative work, then cosmetic finishing. Each phase is its own conversation.

Step 05

Reveal & care plan

The final reveal includes photos, polish, and a maintenance plan to keep your investment looking new for years. Most makeover patients come back twice a year for life.

Why District Dentistry

Why a planned makeover beats piecemeal cosmetic work

Patients sometimes do one cosmetic procedure at a time over years and end up with a smile that looks assembled instead of designed. A real makeover plan avoids that by thinking about everything at once.

One designer, one vision

Color, shape, proportion, and tooth-to-face balance are all decided together. Nothing competes with anything else.

Right order, right outcome

Doing alignment before veneers means we don't waste porcelain trying to fake straightness. Doing whitening before crowns means we match the color you actually want.

Trial smiles included

Every makeover patient gets a wearable preview before we make anything permanent. You see the result with your face, your voice, your real life.

Bilingual, in-house team

From consultation through final polish, the same team handles your case in English or Spanish. No referrals out, no relay.

Common questions

Smile makeover questions, answered honestly

A smile makeover is one of the biggest dental decisions a patient makes. We treat the questions the same way — slowly, completely, and without pressure.

How long does a smile makeover take from start to finish?

Most makeovers wrap in 6–12 weeks. A whitening-and-veneer-only plan can be done in about a month. Plans that involve clear aligners or implants run 6–12 months because tooth movement and bone integration take time. The active chair time is much shorter — most of the calendar is biology doing its work between visits.

What does a smile makeover cost in Charlotte?

It depends entirely on scope. A focused makeover (whitening + 4–6 veneers + minor bonding) typically runs $9,000–$16,000. A comprehensive makeover (alignment + multiple veneers + implants + gum work) can range from $20,000 to $50,000+. Every plan is written and itemized before you commit, and we offer Cherry patient financing — pay over time — alongside our wellness plan.

Do you do digital smile design?

Yes — every makeover case starts with a digital design we review with you on screen before any treatment begins. You see the proposed shape, length, color, and proportions of every tooth. If you don't love it, we revise it. We don't move to treatment until you do love it.

Will I have temporary teeth during the process?

Yes. If we prep any teeth, you'll wear beautiful temporaries while your final veneers or crowns are being made at the lab. The temporaries themselves are designed to preview the final shape, so you're effectively living in your future smile while it's being fabricated.

Can I do this in phases over time?

Absolutely. Some patients want the whole plan done in one season. Others want to do alignment this year and restoration next year. The plan is the same either way — we sequence around your life and budget.

Is financing available?

Yes. We work with Cherry — pay over time with flexible monthly payments — and offer an in-house wellness plan that bundles preventive care with discounts on major procedures. We'll walk through your options in writing during the consultation.
